The Lancet Neurology editorial (May 2026) previews the forthcoming European Brain Economy Summit, co-hosted by NeuroCentury, in an editorial entitled: Europe at a brain health crossroads. The journal argues that the importance of strengthening brain health and brain skills to transform patient outcomes and the economics of health systems and societies is gaining traction on policy agendas in Europe. Announcing the Brussels Summit, Lancet Neurology suggests that "Europe's prioritisation of brain capital could become a global blueprint: a coordinated, equity-driven, AI-ready system that converts science into best clinical practice, and policy into lasting socioeconomic improvements".
