World Brain Health Forum 2026, Paris

16 lutego 2026

NeuroCentury took part in the inaugural World Brain Health Forum in Paris on 15-17 January 2026. The event was organised by the Paris Brain Institute and was hosted by UNESCO. Throughout the carefully drafted agenda, state-of-the-art in brain science was reviewed, demonstrating the immense dynamic across the field. The theme of unification and defragmentation permeated the discussion, from bringing clinical and preclinical data together to regular brain health checks for prevention.

“The world urgent needs unlocking brain capital”, said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organisation. The Forum made a strong call for brain health to be integrated into global public policy. Already, there are over 30 national brain plans globally, with the International Alliance on Brain Health working on mutual lessons learned. However, the largest care gaps are in the less developed countries, in many of which there is one neurologist per three million people. Equity is a prerequisite of progress. "Brain health should not be considered luxury, it is a human right" as the said the former Secretary of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon at the event.
